SUCCESSION or SYNERGY?
2 Tim. 2:1,2 – You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
You see many Senior Leaders today setting in their ‘natural’ sons to be their successor and in many situations rightfully so!! But in certain groups it has almost become a tradition where the father automatically favors his son, even if he knows he isn’t called to serve as the new leader!
Many times there are ‘spiritual sons’ who labored in the same vineyard and loyal to the Senior set leader and anointed as well. But some believe if they are not ‘blood kin”, they will not serve the vision well, thus taking away from the legacy of the leader, the father of the house!!
Many churches have suffered when the senior leader passed away or left and instead of following the Holy Ghost, they went with the familiar thing of leaving a natural son in charge who sadly, did not have the anointing, calling or grace to lead …
Thank the Lord for those special times when a “natural’ father-son team is also a great spiritual team and the son wears the coat of his father well and serves his own generation well, as David did…but let us not be so blind or neglect the obvious when the charisma of the Holy Spirit falls on a spiritual son who will carry out the vision well….
And finally, the best scenario is when the previous leader, as a true father, remains as the ‘father of the house’ and oversees the ministry overall. He then turns the new set leader or pastor loose to lead the local ministry and the bond is so strong, whether a natural and/or spiritual son, that it continues on without missing a beat….
BLESSINGS,

A TIME OF WAR!!!
Our apostolic “WAR” room where the great eagle is looking down on us, as the “Sun of Righteousness arises with healing in His wings:” (Mal. 4:2) The pic right at the top of the eagle days “Moving from fellowship to War…” We bought the DVD a few weeks ago and watched “The War Room” and it is a great movie! But I thank God for our heritage, for praying grand-parents and parents who knew how to pray and get answers from the Lord, even if it was NO!! You might not appreciate the “old-time Pentecostals” but churches then had a dedicated prayer room, not only at church but at home. Your altar and prayer room is wherever you and God make covenant!!
But the most important thing is, and Pam and I live it, your “War Room” is really wherever you and God are, because “as He is, so are we in this world.” I found “Moving from fellowship to War” pic back sometime ago, and don’t even remember how or where I got it! But it certainly fits today, because being a “social club” won’t do it anymore, just having good services and good entertainment won’t cut it!! The apostolic is a “ministry of WAR!” THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE ARE NOT CARNAL, BUT MIGHTY THROUGH THE PULLING DOWN OF STRONGHOLDS…. (2 Co. 10:4)
Paul exhorted his son Timothy, “This charge I commit (entrust ) to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which have gone before you, that by them you may “wage the good warfare…” (2 -Tim. 1:18) “Warfare”, strateia, military service, i.e, the apostolic career (as one of hardship and danger): warfare. From, to serve in a military campaign; to execute the Apostolate, (with its arduous duties and functions), to contend with carnal inclinations: –soldier, (go to) war (-fare).
This is the time of War! But we’re not wrestling against flesh and blood…it is a spiritual war that is already won in the heavenlies, we must simply “enter into His rest, and war, rule and reign, from the finished work and victory of our Lord Jesus Christ!!! I. Co. 15:58- Therefore, my beloved brethren, be stedfast, inmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
Rev. 21:5-7- Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son…”

From Transition to Transcendence!
Apostolic Teaching Fathers! represents a “shift” and a “strand” in the apostolic-prophetic world today that is going from “strength to strength”, as each one appears before God in Zion! (Ps. 84:7b) We are not just ‘transitioning’ but we are ‘transcending’ from ‘faith to faith’ and ‘glory to glory!’ These are not levels, as many teach, they are dimensions in the Spirit that move us from the “old and stale”, which has passed away, to the “new and fresh” that looms large on the horizon! Heb. 12:22,23- But we have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven,…
There are only two covenants, two churches, two kingdoms, to men in the earth, that which is of the flesh, or that which is of the Spirits!! (John 3:6) Galatians 4:22-26- For it is written that Abraham had two sons; the one by a bondwoman, the other by a freewoman. But he who was born of the bondwoman was born according to the flesh, and he of the freewoman through promise, which things are symbolic. For these are the two covenants: the one from Mount Sinai which gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar–for this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children–but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all.
What should be the stance of the Apostolic ministry and commission today? It is to continue to impart and activate from the realm of the Spirit, for they that worship the Father, must worship Him in Spirit and in truth! The hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in truth! (John 4:23,24) The worship to the Father in Mount Zion will transcend the church today and establish it on the “top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it.” (Isa. 2:2b) This is how the kingdom of God and His Christ are to function in the earth, so that the “mountain of the Lord” shall fill the whole earth! This glory of Christ’s kingdom shall cover the earth, as the waters covers the seas!
Our response should be to ‘continue’ in Christ, to abide in Him! We came into a “transformation” some years ago that has brought about a long and tedious “transition!” The transition has brought us to where those that will live and operate in the Spirit will do so from the “Transcending” power of God, from heaven to earth, from the kingdom to the church, from GLORY TO GLORY! 2 Co. 3:17,18- Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (freedom). But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen!

A Sovereign People
Great article to begin the New Year by my friend, Apostle Greg Crawford!
We seem to be missing another ancient path of understanding of the Church. I hope this short blog will begin to bring forth some truth we really need to embrace. I will be taking this blog and expanding upon it for my new book, Restoring Ancient Paths.
We all desire to be like the Church in Acts. We have studied, preached it and tried to make it happen. Yet we seem to fall short every time. We rely on the Holy Spirit and the gifts and have them operational but don’t seem to impact or shift culture. We are having affects but not influences. We are maintaining but not advancing. When we advance is when we see the outpourings, revivals and the great harvest of souls we all desire. Advancing has to have more than moving in gifts. It even has to have more than great faith. It requires…

HAPPY NEW YOU!!!
When I pastored, on New Year’s Eve I always wanted to come up with a catchy slogan or some thing that rhymed with the year. Or, really wanted to get a word from the Lord of it’s the “year of the breakthrough” or whatever, and most years it was always “worse before it got better!” smile emoticon
I’m enjoying a night of just being at home and listening to fire works and just contemplating the goodness of the Lord in 2015, and not trying to figure out what its going to be like in 2016!! I think sometimes we just want something so bad we convince ourselves that God is going to give it to us the way we see it!
Now, before you think I’ve gone cynical, I actually sense an awareness and an expectancy and just some “simple confidence” in the Lord that He’s bringing forth what He desires in my life and what He has for us to do. In basically just “shutting down” the last couple of the weeks, we’ve come to a “refreshing time” that when we wait upon Him and “minister” to Him in our being and with our lives, He receives the praise and glory and honor due His name!!
And the last few nights, He has really been “downloading” some things to me, and laying out some strategies to facilitate as we move in the new year. But, as my friend and the late Dr. Tim Early always used to say on New Year’s, HAPPY NEW YOU!!! If it doesn’t happen in you and your not being transformed in His Presence, how can you expect it to just automatically change your circumstances and situations?
So, as I close my wondering thoughts tonight, why don’t we just prepare ourselves and look back over the patterns of the last few years, and see that Father actually does know what He’s doing, and it is “He who is at work in us both to will and to do for HIS GOOD PLEASURE….” (Phill. 2:13)
May you experience the freshness and goodness of the LORD in the land of the living and “delight yourselves in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart…” (Ps. 37:3-5)
HAPPY NEW YOU!!! heart emoticon
