Kingdom Transitions! (Fathers and Sons)
Spiritual Fathers, or Fathers in Ministry” are going through a great transitional change today because of the significant “shift” going on with younger leaders and older leaders as well!! There is also a “generational gap” because the older leaders, as with every generation, must “step up”, as to make way for an awesome “third generation” of sons emerging! (apostolic synergy, father to son/fathers and sons)
Just as the key to Abraham’s lineage and becoming a “father of a multitude” was ISAAC, so the “second generation” of today’s SONS must ardently DESIRE sons, which means they are becoming FATHERS!! You may say, “Why is this so important?” Because without Fathers ‘fathering’ sons who become ‘fathers’ we will never see the full restoration of the Spirit of Elijah in the earth!
I like the term that Dr. Don Lynch uses in his book, The Spirit and Power of Elijah, REVOLUTIONARY REVIVAL! I know many are still a little scared of the term “full restoration” but to stay in a revival mode, as we have known it, will not bring to pass the full intention of God in the earth! As my ministry father, Dr. Mark Hanby, termed several years ago, we must have a “revelation for a revolution” that will bring us to an “apostolic reformation!”
Malachi 4:5,6- “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the ‘great’ and ‘dreadful’ (awesome) day of the Lord. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to ‘their’ fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.” We know that John the Baptist fulfilled that in the “first” coming of Christ, as he came before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.” (Luke 1:17)
We are at the dawning of the seventh day, or the “third day” from Christ, which means we are come to the fulfilling of the “great and dreadful” day of the LORD, as we now come FULL CIRCLE to once again see a people prepared for the Lord! Jesus could only come at the time “appointed of the Father” and did no earthly ministry until He came to the age of maturity (30) and heard the voice of the Father say, “This is My Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased!” This is why we are seeing such a great change, because the sons of God are maturing in Christ, becoming His body in the earth, Christ in US, the hope of glory! (Col. 1:27)
Today, there is a “many-membered body”, the corporate ecclesia in the earth, coming out of the wilderness…Who is she who looks forth as the morning, Fair as the moon, Clear as the sun, Awesome as an army with banners? Who is this coming up from the wilderness, leaning on her beloved? (Song of Sol. 6:10; 8:5a) This is the New Day, the “new thing” Father is bringing, “forgetting those things behind us and reaching forward to those things which are ahead…” (Phill. 3:13b)
Heb. 12:22,24a- But you are come to mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the First Born who are registered in heaven, To God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to JESUS the MEDIATOR of the new covenant,…
Malachi 4:2- But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; And you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. You shall trample the wicked, For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this,” says the LORD of Hosts…
Mandate, Message, Method, Ministry, and Mission!
It’s time for “apostolic doctrine (teaching), prayer and fellowship” to line up together with apostolic ministry in “spirit and in truth!” The message is not really that different, but the “culture, methods, and ‘Spirit of truth'” must come in alignment with the “culture of the kingdom!”

FOUNDATION FOR LIFE IN THE SPIRIT
Good article by my friend, Apostle Don Atkin!!
May You Go Up Hand Over Hand
Excellent word of encouragement!!

Though man may not give you an elevator or a staircase today,
may the Lord drop a rope to you so that you go up it hand over
hand and accomplish His agenda.
“…we always pray that our God will make you worthy of his call.
We also pray that through his power he will help you accomplish
every good desire and help you do everything your faith produces.”

Who’s Your Daddy?
Awesome word on how to grow and mature into your ministry… Thanks!!
There is an expression that is used in the streets quite regularly…”Who’s Your Daddy?” This question is often asked when the lineage of an individual is not known. It is really kind of a derogatory question that is surely not a complement…but a dig.
What has me thinking of that question you may ask? It seems we have a plethora of “Quote on Quote” Ministers these days all over social media calling themselves Apostles and Prophets. The truth of the matter is anyone can contract Vista Print to make Business Cards for them and can put whatever title they want on them. Vista Print doesn’t care if it is true or not as long as you pay them for their services.
There is a custom in the Jewish faith that when a male child reaches 30 years of age, even though he has already had his Bar Mitzvah at 13…

The Burning Whirlwind
Another awesome word from Dr. Don, wanted to share with you…
Bishop George Lafayette Glass Jr. (July 8, 1933-Sept. 26, 2015)
Lost a great man and soldier of the cross in Sr. Pastor George L. Glass, Jr. in DeRidder, La. early this morning!! I have known Bro. Glass virtually all my life, as He pastored my paternal grand-parents, Jim & Christine Becton, for many years in North Little Rock, Ar. We always enjoyed the monthly visits to Little Rock from Stamps to see them and go to church where Bro. Glass pastored. Ironically, many years later, we pastored and ministered together there in Deridder, and it was a delight to spend many days drinking coffee in McDonald’s and visiting with him and Sis. ‘Nett in their home.
Since we moved from their and living in Houston since 2003, I still made 3-4 trips a year to minister in the area there on Wednesday nights and when he was in town, we would meet for breakfast on Thursday mornings before returning home. Haven’t gone as much the last couple of years, but I was so glad I went to his “80th” Birthday celebration the first weekend of July 2013! That was a highlight and was so glad to see him a few times over the last couple of years! He always received and welcomed me as one of his own, as George Lee, Gregg, and I grew up playing softball and football all the years at Arkansas Youth Camps!!
To my mind, there has never been or ever will be, a more pure, true shepherd as Bro. Glass! He was the “Prince among pastors” and in his latter years serving as Bishop of Grace, along with Ps. George Lee, a true “Servant-Leader” to pastors all around the country!!! One of our last visits together last year he was so thrilled to take me to “Soul Soup” a ministry of Grace where everyday for over five years now they serve a soup meal free of charge from 5:00-6:30. He beamed with that great smile how he loved serving there!
I will miss you Sr. Pastor, I will always honor you for your love and being a true friend to me!! Welcome home, and well done, good and faithful servant of the Lord!!!

Opposed But Continuing On
Very good word by my friend, Prophet Marty Gabler! Sensed that many need to know that although they may be facing many situations and threatening to their life or ministry, the Lord is bring strength to you today, in Jesus’ name!!
When God is keeping His people on His timetable it will require constant change on the part of those people. If we take an honest look at Eph 4:13-16, we will admit that we have not arrived. Change in the Church across the board is what we have to look forward to. Sameness is not the answer. As we hunger for the Holy Spirit’s presence in carrying out our Heavenly Father’s mandate, there will be likely human personalities who will resist. As we continue to receive prophecies that propel us forward into our destiny, there will be opposing forces that will attempt to intimidate and discourage us from doing mighty exploits. The 10 spies will cry, “Giants!” The Athaliahs will yell, “Treason!” The Michals will tauntingly proclaim, “Vile!” And the Sanballats will accusingly shout, “Rebellion!” If we check our mandate and our motivation and find them to be scriptural as…

Labor Day Weekend! (The Start of Something New…)
Well, another Labor Day Weekend and I love the month of September because it seems to always represent the “new and fresh”, new things and new beginnings! Many thanks again to all the love shown on our anniversary as Pam and I were actually married on Labor Day, Sept. 3, 1983! My dear sweet mother whose been gone a little over 2 years, would have been “90” this coming Monday, Labor Day, Sept. 7!!!
Yet, another milestone is occuring this Sept. because it was just after Labor Day Weekend, 1975, “40 “years ago, as an “18” year old, that I moved to Ft. Worth, Texas to begin attending the inaugural year of “Wide World Ministries” Bible School and training center! The school was located in the beautiful facility and one of the first “mega” churches in the nation, TRUTH CHURCH, (A “Wide World of Truth”), under the direction of Dr. Mark Hanby!
The Mid-70’s were a “hot-bed” of activity in the Pentecostal World with many controversies but a spirit of intense restoration revival going on and Ft. Worth was one of the hotspots! The General conference of the group we belonged to at that time was also in Ft. Worth in the fall of 1975 and on that Sunday morning of the conference, thousands were gathered at the “First Pentecostal Church” (the former name of Truth Church)!
Dr. Hanby preached that morning on “Apostolic Attitudes” with the text being Matt. 10:16 where Jesus said, “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of the wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.” Wow, what a beginning of an awesome ride, many times turbulent and not without many heartaches and hardships, but the Father has always been with us these past forty years!
Just a year after my life-changing car accident and right out of High School, my life was drastically changed and molded in an atmosphere that rang out, “GIVE US APOSTOLIC RESTORATION OR WE DIE!” This, of course, taken from the passage in Genesis 30 where Jacob’s barren wife Rachel, said to him, “Give me children, or else I die!” It was in those next two years that we were taught in the school subjects like “The Renewing of the Holy Ghost”, Love for the word of God, Spiritual Sensitivity, and the “Doors of Prayer”, etc!
This is also where Pastor Mark Hanby became Papa Mark to me, as the cry for restoration also resounded in the voice of Elisha to Elijah when he was being taken up to heaven, “My Father, My Father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!” (2 Kings 2:12) Of course, every great truth in scripture being restored is “tested by fire” and the message of having “fathers in the faith” was something only a few knew. It took almost twenty years when Dr. Hanby’s classic book, You have not many Fathers, was released, and quickly became the book that most leadership began using to train young leaders.
I bring this up because “40” years represents a great generational shift, especially among ministry leaders, like Moses to Joshua! It is a time of the “changing of the guard”, the passing of the baton, but not in the old order sense of the dying off of leadership being replaced by the new leaders. It is more than “apostolic succession”, it should be now, as we’re just coming into the “fullness” of this apostolic restoration, a great “apostolic synergy!” This is what our national, even international “Father’s Heart Family” with Papa Mark Hanby, has been raised up now in these last 20 years, to impart and enhance and encourage the “mandate, message, ministry, and mission” of the Fathers Heart!
It has been a joy and journey in walking this out, as this great classic preacher that many still preach his sermons, Papa Mark has become the “patriarch” and father, not just of a man’s ministry, but of a message, a lineage and legacy being lived ( not just left) in a family, that can perpetuate the generations into fulfilling the mandate and mission of the “God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob!” I’m a living witness, that as Elijah poured into Elisha, and Paul into Timothy, that spiritual impartation from “father to son” is still the order of the kingdom of God that will bring full restoration to the church of Jesus Christ!
The day after Labor Day, Tuesday Sept. 8, I will fly to Albany , NY to be with Dr. Hanby and a host of ministry sons, to meet in the Schenectady, NY area for three wonderful days of present truth to “continue stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in breaking of bread, and in prayers…” (Acts 2:42) I believe that in this juncture and highly pivotal time in the kingdom, as nations trembles, and the church is shaken to awaken out of sleep and shake off the dust of religious systems and traditions, we will see that the only thing that cannot be shaken, is the KINGDOM OF GOD!
There is no ending or Amen to the book of Acts, as we must continue in what the last verse in the book reads, Ac. 28:31, talking about apostle Paul, “preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him…” This is why I’m excited about this gathering of the family of the Fathers Heart, because we will search out with Papa Mark and “pioneer and trail-blaze” to this new generation of Jesus Christ that is being raised up with a mighty voice in this hour! May the Lord Jesus bless you and keep you continually in His grace!
Blessed and Happy LABOR DAY WEEKEND!
JB
