A Look At Sonship From Elijah & Elisha

Great article on fatherhood and sonship in the example of Elijah/Elisha! Thanks, Michael Fram!

prophetic destiny's avatarLiving Faith Realities

Being a Prophet I have a desire to study and learn from the life example of Prophets in the Scriptures. At the same time there is a tremendous amount of revelation being released in this hour regarding the truth and importance of “Sonship”. Scriptures like these are really starting to garner attention in the Body of Christ like they haven’t in all of my time in the Church:

“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”Malachi 4: 5 & 6 NKJV

“For though you may have ten thousand teachers in Christ, you do not have many fathers. Through the Good News I became your father in…

HOUSTON HABITATION!

Jim Becton
Jul 2nd, 10:56am
Eph. 2:20-22- Having been built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the chief corner stone, in whom the whole building fitly joined together grows up into a holy temple in The Lord, in whom also you are being built together as a HABITATION (dwelling place) of God in the Spirit.

We decree and declare that the city of Houston is a “city of The Lord, a portal for the Kingdom of God so that the ecclesia (church in ACTion) can advance, empower and equip the saints in light for dominion and apostolic alignment!”

We decree and declare that the governmental order of the Father’s kingdom be set in place, as He hath set (in the church) first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that, miracles, gifts of healings, helps, governments (Steersmen, as at the helm of a ship), various kinds of tongues… (I. Co. 12:28)

Heb. 12:22- For you are come to mount Zion and to the city of the living God, to the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, To the General Assembly and church of the Firstborn…

The Shift From Church Age to Kingdom Age — Part 2

Part 2 by Apostle Greg Crawford!

Dr. Greg Crawford's avatarGreg Crawford

The dynamics of this shift are many and the catalyst is injustices and the ability to have freedom taken away is bringing the separation required. In this hour we have many things that are coming against us. Potential loss of religious freedom, gay marriage, and other cultural issues are emerging. These are not coming against the church per say, as some of the church is embracing and entering into this, but these issues are affecting the true ecclesia that has hid itself in the Kingdom, yet we were warned. This is the leaven spoke of in Matt 13.33. Leaven is not a positive but a negative. The word means mental and moral corruption. The worlds system knows it cannot stop the kingdom, so it is trying to corrupt it. It is trying to make it like itself with the same approaches and answers to social problem. This corruption is…

The Shift from the Church Age to the Kingdom Age

Excellent word on the shift from the church to the kingdom! Great article, Apostle Greg!!

Dr. Greg Crawford's avatarGreg Crawford

As the church age is closing and the Kingdom age is emerging I am wondering exactly how much must shift to be able to transition. Terminology, function and mindsets are just the beginning. New ways of ancient ways returning, new paths of ancient paths must be walked. So much of our current approach, as much as we don’t want to admit it is really coming out of churchdom and kingdom.

We all know and can list all the changes and shifts occurring over the last 10 years. Our expressions of worship, intercession, prayer and even teaching are starting to take on Kingdom perspectives. These outward functions are all related to one thing, revelation. Revelation comes to confront doctrine and what men believe to be true. Revelation may not replace past truth but will bring fresh understanding of what God is emphasizing for this moment. It also may bring things…

Celebrating “40” Years of God’s Glorious Grace! (Apostolic Campaign 2014/2015)

Greetings in the name of the Lord!

Wow, what a journey it has been these last “40” years!! I am just so very thankful and humbled that the Father has allowed me to be on this journey of the “Apostolic Call and Career!” As Paul told Timothy, “My son, I charge you by the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you “wage the good warfare!” (Fight the Good Fight) (Warfare- Strateia- apostolic career, military campaign, our english word- “strategy” ( I. Tim. 1:`18)

A little over a fourth of those years, almost 11 years, Pam and I have lived in Houston, the longest we’ve lived in one place! It has been an honor and joy to have established so many great relationships and been involved in some great things since being here. We want to thank all of you who have been a part of our lives, some even before we moved to Houston. Several even go back to the late 90’s when we began coming into the region. And then, those we have gotten to know in the last few months and year. We are excited about what has been happening in this great year 2014 and in this “40” year juncture in my life. The number “forty” means “coming out of the wilderness, end of testing and trials, and a “generational shift!” We are certainly seeing that, praise God!

I have seen so much fulfillment of these forty years taking place this year and seen the hand of the Lord working in so many ways. I was given a word some seven, eight years ago from Psalms 138:8,9- Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand Against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me. The LORD will perfect (fulfill, complete, bring to an end) that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands. The Father has been faithful to His word and to us, for which we are grateful!

Now as all these things have happened for our good and for the furtherance of the gospel (Phil.1:12), we come to the beginning of another New Apostolic Campaign! This is our fifteenth since being “set apart” into our apostolic ministry and this “Grace and Apostleship!” Romans 1:5,6- “Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations, for His name, among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ:” I believe these years have prepared us for this very time, not just a new season, but a New ERA! When you are set apart, it brings a shift, the shift brings a shaking, and the shaking happens to “set in order” the things that are lacking. (Titus 1:5)

And that has brought us to our (New) Apostolic Campaign 2014/2015! When the Lord gave us this term in 1998 it was to represent what He had done in our lives and to begin in July of one year and end in June of the next. But now after 40 years, this one represents more than we can even imagine because of the mature seasoning of Fatherhood and bringing in of many sons and daughters to His glory. We are so thankful for the “divine connections” and “divine relationships” that He has brought into our lives and value and treasure each one of you. We have great fellowship with pastors and churches that have so graciously received us an apostle, or an apostolic father! We value and honor all the relationships, whether wide or deep, that we are a part of. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, all that you have sown into us, love, prayers and finances, to carry out the “stewardship of our apostleship.” (I. Co. 9:17)

For the last several years, we have not had a special meeting concerning the beginning of an apostolic campaign. For many years, even before our setting apart into the apostolic, we had meetings during the first week of July, always coinciding with the Fourth of July! We founded a prophetic/apostolic training center in the 90’s in DeRidder, La. called “The Eagles Nest” and from 1993 to 1999 had the “Gathering of the Eagles”/Spirit of Freedom Meetings. When we moved to Houston in 2003/04 and began FATHERS HEART HOUSTON, we simply used a theme the Father gave us for that new year. This last year many things have been coming back around concerning eagles, and one of sons, Paul Edquist, sent me a great picture of a “convocation of eagles” at Dam 13 along the upper Mississippi River (between Illinois and Iowa). Many of you on FB I’m sure saw it.

After posting that picture on our “Apostolic Teaching Fathers ” group page, a couple wrote me concerning a message Dutch Sheets preached some time back on the “War Eagles.” Then, Bro. Gene Mansfield, a ministry relationship from Tulsa, sent me a link to the message and it was powerful. Actually, Bro. Gene and I had been talking about them coming and visiting us here in Houston and finally centered on the long Fourth of July Weekend. What began as Gene and his wife Glenda coming down to visit for a few days and look around the region, turned into talking about gathering a few pastors and sons for maybe a night or so. Then, I met with Bro. Tim Edwards, who along with his family and three families from Kentucky, moved to Houston about three months ago. Bro. Tim is originally from South Africa and carries in His heart a great burden for five-fold ministry training as well as apostolic missions!

So what began about two weeks ago as a visit, has turned into, not only a “celebration” of forty years and our apostolic campaign, but an “Apostolic Assembling of W.A.R. Eagles, celebrating a “WorldWide Apostolic Reformation!” This celebration will be a “Three-Day Assembling” to launch our Apostolic Campaign 2014/2015 and the coming together of “Fathers and Sons” in the FAITH! Bro. Gene just last weekend designed the beautiful flyer attached to this email, Eagles of WAR Rising! Joining us to celebrate this time of apostolic/prophetic ministry, is Gene Mansfield, apostle of “Gate of Destiny” Worship Center in Tulsa, Ok. and Tim Edwards, apostle of iHope Houston, a training center of mission and ministry here in Houston! Tim, his wife Julie and son Josh, moved to Houston just a little over three months ago and we have made a divine connection.

We want to invite you to this assembling beginning, Thursday night, July 3,@ 7:00pm and continuing Friday night, July 4th and Sat. July 5! We will begin laying out the vision and foundation for the apostolic campaign on Thursday night and the next two nights continue with what the Father is saying to us about this new era of 2014/2015! The enclosed flyer has the details, as the meeting has been changed from the Quality Inn and Suites to the “Best Western Plus” North Houston Inn and Suites off Airtex and 45 behind the Cracker Barrel. We realized this week that we need a little bigger meeting room than at the Quality Suites!

We pray that you can take at least a part of your July4th weekend to be with us, and we look forward to seeing you there!

In His Blessings,

Jim & Pam Becton,

THE INSTITUTIONALIZATION OF CHRISTIANITY (Part 1)

Another great word on why the church became institutionalized!

holyfireorg's avatarThe Flaming Herald

“And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.In response Jesus said to it, ‘Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.’ Then Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves.” (Mk. 11:12-17)

Jesus cursed a fig tree just before He cleansed the temple and drove out all those who bought and sold there. The contrast in these parallel acts is striking. The cursing of the fig tree represented the destruction of a fruitless religious system. It served as a visual object lesson of what Jesus had come to do in the Jewish…

Process and People, by Pastor Chris Reed

……… Process and people………..
It’s when you find people in the earth that you were ordained to be connected with before the foundation of the world.
The holy of holies is in the tabernacle but not all the tabernacle was in the holy of holies.
There are some things you can’t take beyond the veil. Religion, ideas, youth, marriage, divorce, dysfunctional thinking that can attach to your spirit and stop you from going beyond the veil into the holy place where shekinah glory dwells.
The spiritual dimension is where God has completed and perfected all things. The lamb was slain before the foundation of the world, But that was what was finished in the heavenly/spiritual dimension. It took TIME and PROCESS to manifest it in this earthly realm. Don’t give up on fulfilling your preordained purpose BEFORE the foundation of the world because it hasn’t happened YET!! He’s gave you grace to search it out, and he’s divinely connecting you with people that align you in his plan. Your trial is your friend. It only lasts as long as you need it too for God to rid old weights that you can’t take into the Holy place where God dwells, which is what you desire!!! If you’re going through hell, keep on going because each day of your trial that passes, it burns off old attachments that keep us out of the third dimension. This is what The Spirit is saying. Love you all, be encouraged!

Learning to Abide in The Cloud, by Apostle Gene Mansfield!

Gene Mansfield

Learning To Abide In The Cloud
As we enter this season of Kingdom advancement and reformation it is imperative that we learn to keep it simple and not only “follow the cloud” but abide in the cloud and operate out of that place. We often see and use language like 3rd Day, 7th Day, 3rd Dimension, 7th Dimension that is intended to convey the concept of a Kingdom that is FULLY PRESENT but not yet visible. For those of who easily “think outside the box” and/or enjoy Si-Fi, alternate universe theories and the like this kind of language makes sense and is helpful. However, we must be careful not to get in the rut of “Kigdomese” simply replacing “Christianese” with catchy new phraseology that has no power.
I am not against any phraseology and language that helps convey the Kingdom of GOD in a more understandable way and activate people to OPERATE in the Kingdom. The thing that concerns me is that I see over and over again the trend to “return to Egypt” or revert back to patterns that have held us captive to traditions of men and academics devoid of POWER, even while using all the new language of Kingdom and Transformation.
Now I am NOT against academics and education at all. In fact, I believe it is vital that we develop a culture of academics in the context of Kingdom, Apostolic Reform, Awakening and etc… What I am against is trying to make the Kingdom come forth through mental assent and academics vs. BECOMING Jesus in the Earth, BECOMING the Kingdom and allowing the academics and understanding flow out of a place of POWER (The Cloud of HIS Glory the 3rd Dimension or Throne Room of Heaven).
We must not only learn how to “follow the cloud” and lead others to do the same, but we must have intimate fellowship with The Father living in and operating out of the “tent of meeting” (The Secret Place).. We must not only go into that place to get revelation to lead for the moment, like Moses, but learn to stay until HE is finished with us like Joshua.
Exodus 33:7-11 (NASB) 7 Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, a good distance from the camp, and he called it the tent of meeting. And everyone who sought the LORD would go out to the tent of meeting which was outside the camp. 8 And it came about, whenever Moses went out to the tent, that all the people would arise and stand, each at the entrance of his tent, and gaze after Moses until he entered the tent. 9 Whenever Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at the entrance of the tent; and [e]the LORD would speak with Moses. 10 When all the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, all the people would arise and worship, each at the entrance of his tent. 11 Thus the LORD used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend. When [f]Moses returned to the camp, his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart from the tent.
It is in that place we are transformed to the place it becomes impossible for us to revert back to old patterns that rob us of the Promised Land of our Kingdom Inheritance. Moses only went in and got instruction for the moment and reverted to striking the rock and disobeying the Lord costing him the Promised Land. Joshua however was prepared in the Glory presence of God to cross over and take the land!
Beyond that we must understand that the “tent of meeting” is now ever present within us. We must develop the ability to access and flow out of that, it is “the Kingdom within”, the SAME spirit that raised Christ from the dead, the Cloud of HIS Glory. We must abide in the cloud moving in sync with the cloud, releasing that flow corporately forming a “Cloud” that impacts the world with HIS Glory! If we will lose ourselves IN HIM we will find that everything will flow naturally and the Kingdom will come forth in POWER and we will become ONE as HE is ONE. That is the fullness of the promise! When we step into that place truly resting in the finished work everything will flow out of that place and we will see reformation and transformation beyond our wildest imaginations.

Father’s Day 2014! (The A.R.T. of Fathering)

Blessings to all Father’s, both natural and spiritual! When you speak of Father’s your talking about those who have begotten children, founded a family, and a progenitor of generations!

Then, biblically, the order of God is found in “fathers and sons!” In hebrew, a father was not only one who begat children, but was the producer of a certain thing, or one who causes things to be. The hebrew word for son was “ben” (behn) which came from the root word ‘banah’, means to build up; to fortify. The idea is that a son is a builder of future generations.

When you celebrate Father’s Day, celebrate the sons and daughters as well. When families celebrate together, the idea of not only legacy is passed on, but lineage. We understand that somewhat in the natural, but we must in the Spirit as well. We must think “generationally.”

Ga. 4:6,7- And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Finally, just as we have natural fathers that admonish and nourish us to grow up, so do we have spiritual fathers! A true spiritual father will have the “A.R.T. of Fathering” in their hearts and lives: True fathers will:

1) A.ffirm- They will not only accept, they will affirm. They will speak to your identity and to your future. They will instill and enhance a sense of “well-being”, confidence and connection and bring correction because you are a son!  (He. 12:5)

2) R.estore- Fathers will bring not only a sense of responsibility, but accountability. They will be there when you fail, when you have lost your way, and they will be “bring you back” to your original state of being a son, one secure in your sonship and knowing who you are! (Ga. 6:1)

3) T.ouch- Fathers will not only give a warm handshake, pat on the back, or a hug, Fathers will touch you deeply with the Heart of God, our true Heavenly Father! Fathers in the natural and spiritual will never replace the Heavenly Father, but will always lead us to Him. The spiritual touch sets a seal by the Holy Spirit that will forever stay with the son! They will always know the “touch” of father’s care, comfort, and compassion! (I. Th. 2:8)

Pray you’ve had a blessed Father’s Day!

Celebrating “40” Years of God’s Amazing GRACE!

Wow, in one way, it seems like 40 years has been an eternity, and in another, it seems like it has not been that long ago! My Dad and I were talking about that on the phone this evening. He was driving by the house we lived in Magnolia on June 7, 1974, the night he lost his baby son, Jerry Mack, not quite 15 years old. I lost a brother who at that age was praying and studying an hour every day when we came in from school while I went out and played ball!

Jerry was so dedicated to The Lord, played the piano and guitar in church and “danced in the Spirit” at a church that did not see that a lot! Early one morning just a few months before the car accident he told Dad he wanted to quit school and go to Bible College!

I dedicate these “40” years of The Lord sparing my life and subsequent ministry to my brother, Jerry Mack Becton! A year after the accident I graduated from High School and prepared going to Bible School at “Wide World Ministries” college in Ft. Worth, Tx.

My brother Gary was preaching for John David Williams in Tulsa at the time of the accident, whose brother in law was Pastor Mark Hanby! Dr. Hanby prayed for us in our car accident and accepted me into the school in 1975! He told me years later The Lord spoke to him and said, “I am sparing Jim, not for just his life’s sake, but His DESTINY’S sake!

Dr. Mark Hanby is my father in ministry…I pray that I have had some small part in affecting and touching people’s life in these last 40 years as my brother would have. Thanks be to God for HIS AMAZING GRACE!!! See More — with John M Becton.
