Author: FATHERS HEART HOUSTON
Balance of GRACE and TRUTH! (Apostolic Prophet Bill Hamon)
Dr. Bill Hamon’s latest book answers a question that lingers in the hearts of many, particularly with regard to ministers committing major sin in their personal lives. Yet these leaders pastor major churches, healing the sick and ministering to the congregation.
Dr. Hamon reminds us of Matthew 7:21-23, “Not everyone who says to me ‘Lord, Lord’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord have we not prophesied in your name, cast out demons in your name, and done many wonders in your name? And then I will declare to them, “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!”
He notes that when a sinful preacher prospers, “God is not confirming their ministries at all.” Instead, “He is confirming His word.” God allows the ministry to be successful because He cares about the people who are listening and wants them to be saved and healed.
Dr. Hamon also answers other important questions like, “Are these ministers still guaranteed Heaven since they were saved once? Dr. Hamon says, “No.” Can their names be erased from the book of life? Dr. Hamon says, “Yes.”
What are some ways that a spirit of deception is active in the church? (False doctrine and false teaching, which he likens to rat poison, which is 99 percent good for you, but 1 percent fatal.)
The 10 M’s
Dr. Hamon outlines 10 M’s that help us discern a true from a false minister. They are:
1. Manhood (or Womanhood): The man (or woman) comes before the ministry. “God wants to make us like Jesus before we can minister fully as Jesus did.”
2. Ministry: Does our ministry manifest the anointing of God—that is the divine enablement of grace to accomplish God’s intended results? Or is there more talk than true power? Dr. Hamon says, “Is our preaching or prophesying productive? Has our ministry produced fruit?”
3. Message: Ministers are to speak the truth in love. Dr. Hamon says, “It should present the word of God in a way that is thoroughly scriptural, doctrinally sound, and well–balanced in the light of the full testimony of the Bible.”
4. Maturity: “The Bible wisely warns us not to place new Christians in places of leadership, but to wait until they have had a chance to be proven and to mature,” says Dr. Hamon. This maturity should include personal, emotional, and spiritual maturity.
5. Marriage: A minister’s marriage should reflect the relationship that exists between Christ and the Church. Dr. Hamon says, “Ministry must not compete with family. Meanwhile, we must not allow the ministry to deny us adequate time and energy to build a healthy relationship with our children, as is all too often the case with ministers.”
6. Methods: In our ministry methods, we must be what Dr. Hamon calls “rigidly righteous.” A minister should be honest in all areas.
7. Manners: Dr. Hamon believes that ministers “should be different from the world in their manners. Love is a principle we practice, a way of life.”
8. Money: A minister should always be a good steward over his or her finances. Dr. Hamon says, “The Christian can have money, but money must not have the Christian. It’s a matter of heart attitude, motive, and biblically ordered priorities.”
9. Morality: “Sexual immorality has no place in the life of a Christian minister … our firm standard must be purity,” says Dr. Hamon.
10. Motive: “In short, do we minister out of a heart full of God’s love? If not, the the Scripture says our ministry is nothing.”
What Are We Here For?
Dr. Hamon says there are eight reasons God created man. They are:
1. To fill the earth with the likeness of Himself.
2. To reveal His own heart and nature as love.
3. For man to be a free moral agent so he could be tested, tried, purified and conformed to the image of Christ.
4. For God to have the power of procreation so He could father a biological Son (Jesus) and not a created son like Adam.
5. To provide a many-membered bride for His Son.
6. To bring the Church as the body of Christ to co-labor with Him as joint-heirs in carrying out God’s purpose.
7. To offer up praise and worship to God.
8. For fellowship with Him.
Bishop Bill Hamon is known around the world as the pioneer and father of the prophetic movement. He is the founder of the Christian International Apostolic Network.
Apostolic-Prophetic Campaign 2015!
Reformation & Restoration, Honor & Humility!
I have been reading a few articles from prophetic leaders, as well as talking with and conversing with some pastor friends today. And I agree with the consensus that we are experiencing a great shift and that pastors and churches should be praying like never before to be ready to experience what Father is bringing today!
I like what I read, I believe yesterday, from Apostle Greg Crawford wrote concerning revival and awakening! Revival primarily stimulates the “externals” An…d deals with what we can see. Awakening, however, deals with the “internal” issues of the heart, and are we really ready to see change and experience it within our hearts first and foremost!!
What I have believed and preached for years, I believe, is what moves us past revival and brings awakening to the place of “Awareness” and acceleration is “Reformation” and “Restoration”! There are quite a few more R’s in the mix- Repentance, Renewal, Revelation, Revolution, and a “Returning” to the Father and His original intent for the church, as it relates to the kingdom!
Which brings me to my concern for what many are saying is that prayer, like revival, that does NOT change us to Realign with the apostolic AND prophetic purposes of God in the earth, will keep us frustrated!! When we are truly changed in heart, it will cause us to change in our churches and ministries what is not pleasing to Him!
True apostolic reformation and restoration will not only bring about a change in structure and government, it will bring a change in ministry relationships that will reflect a “working together” (synergy) that exalts Christ as head of the body!! This will bring about a humility and an honor that will bring His glory and power!
Our cities are crying out for this “R & R” with this “H & H” (Honor & Humility). We are beginning to see this where pastors and set leaders are coming together with apostles and prophets to see us move past revival and awakening, but also ready to embrace the Heart of the Father and return unto the Lord so He can fulfill His mandate and mission in this third day great awakening and reformation!!!
Under the Rock… (Pt. 2)
Ps. 61:2b- LEAD ME TO THE ROCK THAT IS HIGHER THAN I…
2 Samuel 22:32- “For who is God, except the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God?
Matt. 21:42- Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the scriptures:
‘The stone which the builders rejected, Has become the chief
cornerstone. This was the LORD’S doing, And is it marvelous
in our eyes’?” (Ps. 118:22,23)
I. Co. 3:11- For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is JESUS CHRIST.
Eph. 2:20-…having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone,…
Jesus Christ is the ROCK, and He is the CHIEF CORNERSTONE in the foundation of the body, and He is also the HEAD over all things to the church, which is His body…. Eph. 1:22,23
Col. 1:18- And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. (First place in everything)
The ROCK (the foundation), JESUS CHRIST, is the HEAD of the body, the church, and the ROCK IS HIGHER THAN US (Christ in You, the hope of glory), THE CHURCH.. (Christ is “head and body.”) (Col. 1:27) (We are “under the ROCK”…)
*The apostles and prophets are in the “foundation” with Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone… They are not only “under the Rock” (the foundation) but the ROCK is Higher than the body…that’s why God hath “set in the church, first apostles, second prophets…” the body, the church, is UNDER the OVERSIGHT of the apostles and prophets, because the “stone (rock) which the builders rejected Has become the HEAD of the CORNER (chief cornerstone), THEREFORE, THE HEAD OF THE BODY.
The first will be last, and the last will be first… God hath set the apostles…’First and Last'(I. Co. 4;9;12:28) , “And whoever desires to be first among you, LET HIM BE YOUR SERVANT (bond-slave)” Matt. 20:27
Under the Rock…
“I AM UNDER THE ROCK AND THE ROCK IS HIGHER THAN I!’
Ps. 61:1-8- HEAR my cry, O God: Attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry unto You, When My heart is overwhelmed; LEAD ME TO THE ROCK THAT IS HIGHER THAN I.
For you have been a shelter for me, A strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah.…
For You, O God, have heard my vows; You have given me the heritage of those who fear Your name. You will prolong the king’s life, His years as many generations. He shall abide before God forever. Oh, prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him!
So I will sing praise to Your name forever, That I may daily perform my vows…
2 Samuel 22:47-50- “The LORD lives! Blessed be My Rock! Let God be exalted, The Rock of my salvation! It is God who avenges me, And subdues the peoples under me; he delivers me from my enemies. You also life me up above those who rise against me; You have delivered me from the violent man.
Therefore I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the Gentiles, And sing praises to Your name…”
Jesus’ Proof
Great word M y Michael Fram…
A while back I was having a conversation with a dear brother in the Lord discussing having “Kingdom Vision” and seeing the big picture. When to my surprise, a scripture that I had not been meditating on, or even heard a sermon or teaching on that I could recall, rose up out of my spirit and came out of my mouth. Since that day however, I think about and meditate on it quite frequently. I am reminded of a statement that a man of God from my past used to make: “The main thing is to keep the main thing, the main thing!” Sometimes I think we lose sight of what the main thing is. This Blog is meant to stir up your remembrance to the main thing.
“And it came about that when Jesus finished giving instructions to His twelve disciples, He departed from there to TEACH and PREACH

CALLED TO BE SAINTS…(with the bishops and deacons)
I was visiting with a pastor friend the other night and we were talking about “members” in the body of Christ, and how you incorporate them into the local assembly . Is membership automatic if one is truly born again, they belong to Christ, so therefore they are a part of the church? Is it given by the “right hand of fellowship”, that is, shaking the preachers hand, being water baptized, taking a course for new members, and being on the ‘tithing’ roll? Should there be an official ceremony and recognition of those joining the local assembly?
Or, is the whole thing about membership really taking away from what the “local church (assembly) really is, and that is a “FAMILY!” IN A FAMILY, THERE ARE (SPIRITUAL) PARENTS AND SONS AND DAUGHTERS!! In a family there is relationship because the children have been born of God, and therefore, yes, they belong to Christ and His Church! However, in a family there is also Fellowship, and because of their fellowship in Christ, the sons and daughters will come into Sonship! There are the mature sons of God who are growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 3:18)
They are “functioning” members in the body of Christ, but it takes a “family” or a tribe if you will, for them to find their true identity in Christ and to know who they are in Him, and who Christ is in them! The church is not a building built with hands, but the building and body of Christ. The church is not an organization, but a living, breathing organism. The church is not a social club, but a “strategic” place where the sons and daughters are “set apart” unto the Lord, set under duly, appointed leaders, equipped, established and edified for service in the Lord!! Children are taught of the Lord and disciplined for their own good and growth under the mighty hand of God through fathers and mothers in the Spirit!!
So what truly constitutes a church (local, legislative legal entity) and how are these members set apart unto ministry and service to advance the kingdom of God? To be set apart is to be made ‘holy’ and therefore, confirmed and called to be SAINTS!
Three things will primarily establish the legal, governing body in a city/region:
Phil. 1:1- Paul and Timothy, bondservants of Jesus Christ,…
1) To all the SAINTS in CHRIST JESUS who are in Phillippi (local city-church),
2) with the BISHOPS (overseers/elders) (governments/administrations) and
3) DEACONS (servants/ministry of helps) (men of good reputation, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom) 1 Co. 12:28; Acts 6 :3)
1) THESE SAINTS WILL CONTINUE IN THE APOSTLES’ DOCTRINE (teaching) AND TO FELLOWSHIP, AND BREAKING OF BREAD AND PRAYERS… (Acts 2:42)
2) I. Co. 1:2- TO the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, CALLED TO BE SAINTS, with all who are in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
3) 1 Co.4:15- For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
Gal. 4:19- My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ be formed in you…
4) Eph. 2:19-22- Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted togethero, grows up into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place (habitation) of God in the Spirit.
5) Col.1:27,28- TO them (saints) God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles:: which is Christ in you (plural pronoun), the hope of glory. Him (Christ) we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect (complete) in Christ Jesus.
6) 1 Tim. 5:17- Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine (work hard at preaching and teaching).
7) Peter 5:1-4- The elders who are among you I exhort, I who am a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that will be revealed: Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock: and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.
8) EPH. 4:11- And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, for the perfecting (equipping) of the saints for the work of the (their) ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, TILL WE ALL COME TO THE UNITY OF THE FAITH AND OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE SON OF GOD, TO TOP PERFECT (MATURE) MAN, TO THE MEASURE OF OF THE STATURE OF THE FULLNESS OF CHRIST:
In contrast: The equipping ascension ministry gifts are NOT primarily offices but those made to be gifts (domas) those with a measure of rule (leading) and could be called “consulting” gifts, those given to “enhance, empower, and establish” the saints and generative leaders for generational blessing and release in the body of Christ.

A Man After God’s Own Heart…
Here’s a thought I’ve never encountered in the scripture as I am preparing to bring the opening word in the “Texas AEGA” conference at Christian Faith Church in Bellville this Friday night. We all know that King David was the son of Jesse, who obviously left out David when Samuel came to anoint one of the brothers the next king of Israel. It implies that Jesse didn’t even consider the value and special call on his youngest son.
This means that a lot of problems that David had was the lack of a ‘real’ father to nurture, identify, affirm and empower to be a “man after God’s own heart!” So, David also failed in His role as a father, even though He was a king, a prophet, and a man after God’s own heart! He was that man because of a sovereign rule and hunger to please God and contend with His enemies. He became known as a “Man of War!” His own son Absalom attempted to steal and take the kingdom away from him…
This week the theme in the conference is “Contending for the Heart of God!” The curse on the ministry in the church today is immaturity and lack of generational blessing and honor, which is a direct result of a lack of fathering! Since men don’t know who they are, they will ‘fight’ for position, use and manipulate people and saints, and contend and strive with other leaders for prestige and popularity! They feel so empowered every time someone calls them pastor that they believe they can “lord it over” those allotted to their charge.
Here’s the first part of that verse that I think we should consider:
Acts 13:36a- “For David ‘after he had served his own generation’ by the will of God, fell asleep,…There it is…He served his own generation….Did he just serve his own purposes and desires, even though it says, ‘by the will of God?’ And, even though He prepared Solomon for the throne and lavishly poured riches and wealth into His treasuty, did not Solomon resemble many traits of his father David and possibly even Jesse, that no real “generational heritage, legacy, and lineage” succeeded in the ensuing generations?
I guess my point is: If you only serve your own generation and you do it well by the will of God and have many accomplishments, even great fame and notoriety, does that mean you have really fulfilled the vision, purpose, and destiny of God in your life? Without ongoing generations that build upon one another and bring not only generation succession, but generational synergy, we will continue to fail in restoring the “hearts of the fathers to the children” and the “hearts of the children to ‘their’ fathers…
The corresponding verse should be and is the theme of the Father’s Heart:
Isa. 58:12- Those from among you Shall (re)build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets (lit. paths) to Dwell in.
Hebrews 10:35,36- Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, “so that after you have done the will of God”, you may receive the promise.
