A number of decades ago many people exited traditional and mainline denominational churches because their needs were not being met, and they were hungry for the deeper things of God. As a result, para-church organizations were raised up and played a key role in the training and discipleship of new converts. Bible schools were established to equip pastors and leaders. Many of those pastors and churches that were raised up during that time, however, have now become as structured, rigid, and set in their own agendas as the former churches they came out of.

I see a trend today that is attempting to reverse this process and avoid another mass exodus from our churches by using methods and developing programs that will either keep current members from exiting our churches, or draw new people into them (that is what spurned the seeker-friendly church philosophy). APOSTOLIC STRATEGY WITH APOSTOLIC SYNERGY!

I believe one of the keys for a local church, i.e. assembly/congregation, going to another dimension of equipping is for the “pastor” or set leader, have more than just other “Pastor friends” come in and preach a few times a year!! Many pastors also have “evangelists” who the congregation likes to hear come in because they know they will draw a good crowd!! But are these ministers coming in because they “perform well”, tell funny stories, and know how to sway a crowd?  WHAT IS THE ALTERNATIVE?

WHAT ABOUT IF THE VISION OF THE HOUSE is built around the apostolic anointing of the set man and he is connected to other relational apostles and prophets who have the heart of the leaders and the people and are able to bring the word of the Lord to what the Father is saying to the church? Yes, humor, skill, and vocabulary are alright in there place, but what about saying what “thus days the Lord”, not just what keeps the people dependent upon them for their spiritual growth!! Are we keeping the saints “spectators” or are we “equipping” them to be participators so that they can do the work of ministry or “fulfill their ministry”?

2017 will be the year of “Apostolic synergy” or a “working together” of team-ministry who are connected through apostolic alignment and assignment! Sometimes apostles clash, like Peter and Paul, because they do not have the same assignment in ministry, so therefore, there is not a good flow when they come together. But apostles and prophets who have an order of ministry, such as Paul and Apollos, one will plant and the other water! (I. Co. 3:5-10) The scripture says “now he who plants and he who waters are ONE, BUT IT IS GOD WHO BRINGS THE INCREASE! The one who plants is nothing, neither is the one who waters, but God gives the increase! He repeats this so the people will not just have their hope and confidence in men or personality…

Finally, in this great SHIFT, some churches like to have all prophets in because that is what brings the people in, seeking A word! But we need the synergy of Apostles, prophets, and teaching evangelists with the pastoral grace that will bring balance to the house and are relational ministry so as not to have their own agenda to just come in and preach, prophesy, etc. These churches/houses/fellowships who grow into this initiative in 2017 will take great strides to becoming an “apostolic regional center” (arc) that will be “kingdom-based”, “generationally-mixed”, and “mission-minded”!

They will become “Antioch” bases (Acts 13) of being “trained, discipled, raised up, and sent out and forth”, by governing elders (prophets and teachers), who are “Apostolic Ambassadors”, emissaries if you will, who connect the regions as APOSTOLIC HUBS, kingdom centers of grace and truth who know their alignment and assignment for kingdom advancement and agreement with the truth of God’s Word!!!

Apostolic/prophetic Vision for 2017….

Good time to “enter into His Rest…”

Have there been times when “prayer” was pretty much just kicking and screaming until you were worn out, then lying in a puddle of tears hoping God, in bountiful pity, put all the puzzle pieces in place just as you prefer them? Was “rest” just a foreign word? The word “rest” is a delightful word. Our rest is (2Tim.1:12) “I know (have knowledge of, and am acquainted with) Him Whom I have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on), and I am [positively] persuaded that He is able to guard and keep that which has been entrusted to me and which I have committed [to Him] until that day.” In God we trust. We are praying you discover daily our Lord’s invitation, “Come to me and I will give you rest”.

FINISHING STRONG, BEGINNING WELL!

What a year it’s been, and what a year we’re coming into for 2017!! Pam and I want to thank you for the love, prayers, and support you’ve given to us this year… and for the Father’s Faithfulness and goodness to us another year!! We are usually gearing down to just enjoy the season and resting getting ready for Christmas and the New Year. But there is a stirring and prophetic shift for this new year coming up for apostolic alignment and kingdom advancement. Pam and I so love serving as spiritual parents, being “Dad” and “Mom” to those in ministry and sons and daughters in the faith! Fathers Heart-Houston Habitation HUB is really not an organization or a ministry that is building a network! All that is well and good, as we do ‘network’ with churches and ministries and organized for the purpose of being an autonomous ministry. But that is not our goal or purpose, we are not building anything that has to be maintained or that has to be “kept going” or it will lose its vision!

Our Vision is “Christ’s Kingdom” and our mission is “to extend and expand this kingdom by practically pouring our lives into men and women whose ‘hearts are being turned to our Father God! With that being said, Father has entrusted us with a dispensation of the gospel, a spiritual stewardship to help develop ,impart empower, and release In many sons in glory through apostolic alignments and kingdom assignments. (I. Co. 9:17; Eph. 3:2;9-11) We are excited about 2017 not just being ‘another year’, but a powerful new dimension of God’s grace and apostleship in the earth. This is a new year of the “fullness of the times” that He is bringing in the governing assembly, the ecclesia and Christ’s kingdom rule In the body of Christ! Yesterday, we had a wonderful seed planted by one of our relational ministry couples who, on Dec. 1, released a firstfruits of giving that significantly increases the fruits of righteousness and a new day of “kingdom harvest!” Apostle Paul said in Phill. 4:17, “not that I desire a gift, but that fruit may abound to your account.”

This (new) harvest is not just one of rescuing souls, but of “fathers and sons” who are coming into synergistic alignment that releases the Spirit of our Father to bring many children home to find their purpose and destiny through His Grace in their lives!! Are you ready for this day? Are you prepared to walk in the kingdom with a “kingly assignment” and prophetic purpose? Have you discovered who the Father is in you through godly relationships that support the work of the Father in you? In our region and other place where we have regional relationsips, we are seeing “apostolic HUBS” being raised up because of the maturing of the saints and churches embracing the apostolic HUB that connects us for increase, habitation, and manifestation of God’s glory and kingdom in the land! Spiritual Parenting Protocol!

Concerning parenting, in the natural or spiritual, fathers must not try to “force” or insist on their sons and daughters being something they’re not! “Train up a child in the way that they should go” does not mean steer them in your direction for their lives, but rather help them find their “bent” or slant in the calling or direction the Father God is leading them in!! Yes, they can follow in our footsteps and we should prepare them, but our main responsibility is to help guide them to find the passion and purpose in their hearts to fulfill it!!

Likewise, spiritual fathers, we do not take control of our spiritual sons and daughters lives, or ministries, we assist, encourage, enhance, empower and impart every good thing and gifts that help them to fulfill their ministry! If they have our spiritual DNA in ministry and belong to our “tribe”, we will be able to “charge and correct” but never to control! We do not make them in our own image, but like in the natural, once they know who they are and are established in Sonship, we help them develop their gifts and grace into their unique calling.

It is a fathers joy when the sons and daughters exceed our limitations, and go above and beyond our own desires and hopes for them!!!

Post Election 2016 Thoughts…

Now I’ll make my “post-election” statement because I’ve gotten a little bit of flak about posting the pic of Donald Trump and Mike Pence with God’s Hands extending to them from above with their heads bowed, praying, and my post about let’s pray for them,etc!

I was not very vocal at all during the race, not that I wasn’t as passionate as many about the seriousness of this election, but because my ultimate hope is NOT in the USA, the government, or man’s ability to bring lasting hope and peace to the situation! I also felt, from an ambassadorial position and a father to churches and sons and daughters, to not make politics an issue of God’s grace and love from a kingdom mindset as to divide people!

I also do not believe God is either a Republican or Democrat or chooses sides because I think I’m right! He didn’t come to pick sides, He comes to “take over”, just as Joshua found out in Josh. 5:13-15- And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, “Are You for us or for our adversaries?” So He said, “No, but as Commander of the army of the LORD I have now come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, “What does my Lord say to His servant?” Then the Commander of the LORD’s army said to Joshua, “Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy.” And Joshua did so.

I am not a “religious zealot” that crusades for every radical issue, conspiracy theory, and gets mad and pouts every time some social issue doesn’t go my way! I have enough battles to face in my own right, that I sure don’t have time to tackle every issue that comes up. But I’m also not weak or timid when it comes to the Word of the Lord or what Father is presently saying through the Holy Spirit to any situation that He brings as “present truth” to address!

In fact, quite the opposite, I’ve been saying to pastors and churches for years, “When are you going to get over your fear of the IRS and them taking away your tax exemption, and start obeying the word of God”! I found many who wouldn’t move till they checked the IRS Code, when they should’ve been checking whats in the book, and doing His will!! 🙂

Then, Donald Trump comes along and chides the leading pastors and leaders of our nation for being “weak” and not being bold to speak the gospel! Loved it!!! Some of my minister friends on face book who I believe fear ‘man more than God’ or don’t want to offend anyone were saying, “Well, God is in control, it doesn’t really matter who the president is because we know who the king is, everything’s bad and biased,and its all over for America anyway.” Wow, what a cop-out! So, here’s my stance:

I place very little hope in the institutions or systems of men because I do not believe that they can save or deliver us! I do not put my trust in Man or even in the goodness of men, because we cannot legislate morality or righteousness. It’s only that which has been instilled in the heart of man by The Spirit of God and His word that will truly change men and transform us into a new creation! My only real hope is in Jesus Christ our Lord and the reality of “Christ in You, the saints, which is the hope of glory” in the earth!

And I do believe in my heart that God has His hand on America and that He has raised up President-Elect Donald Trump and Vice President-Elect Mike Pence to “confound the wisdom of this world”. I do not exalt their humanity, neither do I judge them on their past, or put America on the same plane as the kingdom of God! I simply believe that when God’s people pray for righteousness and justice and that evil intent and global disaster to threaten harm to the people be judged, that He will heal our land and hear our prayer.

I. Co. 1:27-29- But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised has God chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.

And finally, here’s my real hope of what God is doing today:

Isa. 9:6,7- For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

USA at a Tipping Point

The kingdom has come to YOU!

Got back up at 5:30 with the Word of the LORD for the apostolic leaders, fathers, saints, and apostolic- prophetic company for the greater Houston region:

Houston and the surrounding region and radius of 100-150 miles has been at a “prophetic standstill” due to an “impasse with has resulted in an issue” with moving from the “pastoral and prophetic dimension” to embracing a full fivefold “Apostolic-minded” fathering leadership because of being “spiritually paralyzed!”

First of all, the city of Houston has not fulfilled it’s apostolic mandate due to an old religious mindset that has left the “church in the city” impotent because of comparison, competition, and confusion! GOD is not the “Author of confusion but of peace.” The strongman has lodged a stronghold in the city that has resulted in a “Spirit of strife”, division, and jealousy! For where envy and strife (self-seeking) is, there is confusion and every evil work. (James 3:16) JAMES 4:6,7- But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Matt. 12:26-30- Jesus said to them, “If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? “And if I cast out demons by beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges. “But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, Surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. “Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. “He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.”

Secondly, since Houston is an “apostolic regional center”, it’s calling is to embrace the greater region and apostles and prophets to emerge from around the city to bring great strength and release to the churches. Yet, we are a “city divided against itself” and every city or house divided against itself cannot stand! (Matt. 12:25) Houston’s destiny is to be a CITY SET ON A HILL THAT CANNOT BE HIDDEN. (MATT. 5:14b) Because of the Spirit of religion that is fear based and motivated, the church has become “territorial” and therefore lacks in prophetic discernment how to embrace apostles and the current apostolic movement!!

We are spiritually behind cities like Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio in fulfilling our mission because of the stronghold of fear and confusion. The opposite of fear is not faith, but LOVE! I. JOHN 4:16-21- GOD IS LOVE, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out all fear, because fear has torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him, because He FIRST loved us. If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.

I must stop now and release this in the atmosphere of the region! Upon visiting with my apostolic father last month, I received a powerful prayer from him of the “commanded blessing” from Mount Zion! Ps. 50:1-3- The Mighty One, God the LORD, has spoken and called the earth from the rising of the sun to its going down. OUT OF ZION, THE PERFECTION OF BEAUTY, GOD HAS SHINED. Our GOD shall come and not keep silent. A fire shall devour before Him, an it shall be very tempestuous all around Him.

The key is Psalms 133:1-3- Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in UNITY! It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; FOR THERE THE LORD COMMANDED THE BLESSING, EVEN LIFE FOREVER MORE.

We are to stand WITH THE AUTHORITY OF “FATHERS HEART” in HOUSTON, A HABITATION OF GOD TO BE A HUB (H.ouston’s U.nified B.rethren) with those who are walking in agreement that the “kingdom of God” is the stronger one and the strong man that has dominated the house (spirit of religion and pride) in Houston has been identified and set on notice that he is legally “evicted” from the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground (support) of the truth. (I. Tim. 3:15)

Let us arise and GO FORTH FROM HERE….

A KINGDOM, CITY, or HOUSE!

Matt. 12:25- But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them:

“Every (Any) ‘kingdom’ divided against itself is brought to desolation (laid waste), and every ‘city’ or ‘house’ divided against itself will not stand.

Apostolic strategies for “Occupying the land”:

1) A kingdom- “a region, territory, or apostolic center”

2) A City- “Corporate City Congregation or church”

3) A House- “local assembly, fellowship, or gathering”

 

1A.- 1) apostles, 2) prophets, and 3) teachers

2B- 1) City Elders, 2) Bishops, or 3) Overseers

3C- 1) Evangelists/elders, deacons, and SAINTS

Eph. 3:10 (Amp)- {The purpose is} that ‘through the church’ the ‘complicated’, many-sided wisdom of God in all its infinite variety and innumerable aspects might now be made known to the angelic rulers and authorities (principalities and powers) in the heavenly sphere. Vs. 11- This is in accordance with the terms of the eternal and timeless purpose which He has realized and carried into effect, in {the person of} Christ Jesus our Lord;

vs.12- IN Whom, because of our faith in Him, we dare to have the boldness (courage and confidence) of free access– an unreserved approach to God with freedom and without fear.

vs. 13- So I ask you not to lose heart– not to faint or become despondent through fear– at what I am suffering in your behalf. {Rather glory in it} for it is an honor to you.

Psalm 133:1-3- (Amp)– BEHOLD, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment poured on the head, that ran down on the beard, even the beard of Aaron (the first high priest), that came down upon the collar and skirts of his garments {consecrating the whole body}; (Exodus 30:25, 30) Like the dew of {lofty} Mount Hermon, and the dew that comes on the hills of Zion; for there the LORD has COMMANDED THE BLESSING, even life for evermore {upon the high and the lowly}.

*The order is not “house, the city, then a kingdom (region)”, as many have tried in the past, but a “kingdom alignment” (regional elders, or apostles & prophets), a “city” (City elders/Overseers), and a” house”- the local assembly (discipleship) receives the benefit of being connected to the city elders {ekklesia), and the city eldership connected to the regional apostleship, serving the church as an “apostolic center” with foundations, continuing in the “apostles’ teaching and fellowship, and breaking of bread, and prayers…” (Acts 2:42) (Eph. 2:20-22; 4:11) (Phil, 1:1) (I. Tim. 3:15,16)

SHOW THE HOUSE TO THE HOUSE!

I have waited almost 24 hours to post this and make sure I was hearing the word of the Lord from the proceeding passage as it relates to what He is saying to the church and the country! It has stayed in my spirit since before midnight last night and I believe these three verses from Ezekiel are to be released in the Spirit:

Ezekiel 43:10-12- Son of man, “SHOW (describe) the HOUSE (temple of God) to the HOUSE of Israel”, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and let… them measure the pattern (let them measure accurately its appearance and plan).

And if they are ashamed of all that they have done, make known to them the design of the house (temple of God) and its arrangement, its exits and its entrances, its entire design and all its ordinances, all its forms and all its laws. Write it down in their sight, so that they may keep its whole design and all its ordinances, and perform them.

This is the law of the house (temple). The whole area surrounding the mountaintop is most holy. BEHOLD, THIS IS THE LAW OF THE HOUSE (temple of God).

I believe He is simply saying through His apostles and prophets- “SHOW the HOUSE (The true order of the church/temple of God) to the HOUSE (The nation and church as we have known it, as it relates in the world) their lawlessness, their harlotry, and how they have defiled His name through their abominations. (Ezek. 43:1-9)

Also, an old theme and passage that’s been with me the past 15,16 years: Isa. 4:4,5- When the LORD has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and purged the blood of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning. And the LORD will create over the whole site, over every dwelling place of Mount Zion and over her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory shall be a canopy–a defense, a covering {of divine love and protection}. (Heb. 12:22-24

This is the law, or order of the house of the Lord, concerning His kingdom, His power, and His glory!!! “Thy kingdom come, They will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven….”       (Matt. 6:9-13)
